"How do we do this with our kids?"

It's the question we get asked at almost every event. Akili and Wendy sit down with one family at a time to talk through what it actually takes to let your kids run something real — not just a lemonade stand, but a business their kids make decisions about.

What a session covers

What to sell

Picking something your kids can actually make, explain, and be proud of.

What it costs

Teaching the idea that you have to earn back what you spent before you're actually making money.

What to let your child decide

Where to step back, even when it would be faster to just do it yourself.

What to quietly handle yourself

The permits, insurance, and paperwork that make it a real business, not just a summer project.

How it works

Sessions are one-on-one, over video or in person if you're in metro Atlanta, and last about an hour. There's no curriculum to follow — we start with what your kids are already interested in and work from there.

Send an enquiry below and we'll get back to you to find a time. Most families need one session to get started, with a few following up a month or two in once the real questions start coming up.

Who it's for

Parents of kids roughly three to twelve who have an idea, or whose kid does, and aren't sure how much to help versus how much to let them figure out. You don't need any business experience — neither did we.

My daughter read the book and asked for a lemonade stand. Three weeks later she was keeping her own records.
